KICKING beach ball, slow motion ball, junior size soccer ball, playground ball

  • The basic principles of striking also apply to kicking. Start by having children kick a stationary ball, then run up to a ball to kick it, and then encouraging kicking a rolling ball. At various stages of development, you can focus on kicking for distance or accuracy, perhaps through a goal. Both are types of activities that require coordination, strength and balance and both activities are important for soccer. Playing give and go, in which the ball gets passed by kicking it from one player to another as they make their way down a field is a fun activity that brothers and sisters can enjoy while at the same time promote cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.
