Sarah Evans is 3 years old and has Down Syndrome. She and her older sister Kelly participate in Young Athletes through Champaign Urbana Special Olympics. Sarah is in preschool 5 mornings a week spending half of her time in a typical classroom. Sarah uses sign language to communicate and is working hard during her speech and OT time at school. Sarah's parents and her family are very excited about all of her accomplishments in Young Athletes. When she is not doing Special Olympics Sarah goes to dance class and is in the church choir. Sarah also loves the water and her parents foresee a Special Olympics swimmer in their future.
