International Torch Run Conference The 2009 International Conference was held 11-15 November at Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut, USA. At the annual conference, law enforcement officers and Special Olympics staff members from around the world celebrated another record-breaking fundraising year. It was announced at the conference that the Torch Run raised US34.3 million in 2009, a true testimonial to the dedication and spirit of the law enforcement community for Special Olympics.
