IACLEA  Mile of Quarters Fundraiser

Twelve quarters equals a one foot measurement

Did you know that it takes 12 quarters to equal a one foot measurement?

The International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) is proud to support the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and one of the ways IACLEA members contribute to the Torch Run is through the "Mile of Quarters" fundraiser.

Individuals, groups, and organizations on campuses are asked to support the campaign by donating a quarter, a foot of quarters ($3), a yard ($9) or whatever they wish to help reach that university's goal — a quarter, half or full mile.

Those donating $25 or more are thanked publicly in ads that appear in the school newspaper. "Feet" representing $3.00 of quarters are hung in a prominent spot on campus, written with the names of individuals and campus organizations who have donated. By hanging the feet, the university is able to see how many quarters are raised.
